Star Fox Adventures: Dinosaur Planet saw the protagonist, Fox McCloud, embark on a Fantasy-inspired journey while wielding a magical staff, which actually belongs to the captured Krystal, a telepath who responded to a distress signal originating from Dinosaur Planet. After being rescued by McCloud, she would join his team and replace Peppy as the newest member of the Star Fox team.
