When the original Teen Titans animated series aired on Cartoon Network in 2004, I was a huge fan. At the time, it became my favorite cartoon series, surpassing the TNMT. I was really draw into the dynamic of a group of friends hanging out together doing everyday tasks, and also being a superhero group at the same time.

Slade was the main villain from the first season and a reoccurring character throughout the series. He was mysterious, collected, and always one step ahead of Robin. His depiction on the show carried a theme of robotics, which is another reason why I love his design.
